Job Description:
This role is performed by technical professionals who specialize in
providing perform enterprise services to clients on hardware and
software components for Windows servers. Activities include operation
and maintenance of Windows operating systems, storage and backup
solutions, antivirus servers. These servers are installed with
middleware applications, various database technologies, high
availability solutions and load balancing.
Job responsibilities for this role includes,
but are not limited to, the following: operation and maintenance of
operating systems and platform support, database administration,
capacity planning, performance management, security compliance. Support
is also provided for systems management tools which monitor the
operational status of the environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• System installation, configurations and testing for Windows
Server OS ranging from NT, Win2K & Win2003
• Systems upgrading;
• Perform systems change requests;
• Security hardening and patching according to client or
client’s security policies;
• Systems administration, maintenance, backup/restore,
performance tuning;

Unix Systems Administrator
Key Responsibilities:
• Install & setup the server operating
system AIX, Sun Solaris, HP-UX, Linux and operating system utilities.
• Monitor and analyse
server utilisation, availability and traffic.
• Add, change, delete or revoke Userid's that access operating systems and/or
subsystems using access control software as per established security
standards
